Ive broke my laptop not very long ago, and the laptop was really good thought, it was very fast, no delays, and great. But ive Bought a new laptop, and its no where near as good. I have no idea wt make it is, but its kinda new. Its a windows vista, Toshiba, and thts all i know. But when i go on random websites it takes quit awhile to load up the page, and when im playing games, its very laggy, like when i click something it takes awhile to react. And the worst part, is my old laptop when i loaded the laptop, it would take about 30 secs to get to home page, now this laptop takes around 5 minuets?? Why?? Ive tried deleting some stuff, weve got virus protection, no viruses, Its got a big RAM, and over 200GB harddrive, but its 2 100GB harddrives. Please can somebody help me? Why is my new laptop so slow, and how can i make it alot quicker? and less delayed? Without having to buy tons of things to make laptop faster that cost a fortune.. Im only 15. And i dont want to buy a new laptop. Thanks for help!

Let me start off by saying what actually happens with videos. Whenever a page comes up that has a potential video on it, ones in which you can click a play button, my computer freezes up immediately. I ran a virus scan and there are no viruses. Literally, a second after the page comes up it freezes and the “program is not responding”. It was working fine early today. Now that I think back though, a message came up that was asking for me to grant permission or something and I may have clicked never but I can’t remember what is was asking for etc. Are there any common downloads I could do or any security options that I can get around?

I use Itunes for all of my music….but it costs a lot of money. I probably go through $50 of Itunes money a month and it’s getting ridiculous. A couple of my friends have told me about limewire….but if I get it I’m not sure if I’ll get a virus on my computer. I just got my computer fixed from a virus and I REALLY don’t want another one….What should I do? Stick with Itunes, or switch to Limewire?
My computer has had a horrible virus for at least a week. Instead of taking it to a repair shop, my dad bought me mcafee. Today I installed it and it took about 6 hours. But now when I type in my password for my profile, it acts like it will log me in but then it goes back to the log in screen where the different profiles are listed. I have windows xp. What should I do I’m starting to lose hope.

I’ve recently bought a Blu-Ray writer. We’ve got a few DVD camcorder discs that were recorded in SD but was thinking about putting them all onto Blu Ray. Would the software automatically upscale it to HD or can we record in SD. My idea is to put all the camcorder discs onto one Blu Ray instead of having multiple camcorder discs, not really bothered about them being HD as they were never recorded in HD in the first place, obviously I don’t want to use a L5 Blu-Ray disc and only get the same quality and run time as a 50p DVD-R. Would like to get it so I can fit the equivalent of 3 DVD’s onto one Blu-Ray, is this possible?

I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing the DVD. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn’t any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it’s frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. Also, now it freezes and makes a weird noises when I’m not playing any audio. I have been using my VGA connection from my desktop HP to my Sony Bravia for about 3 months now. Although when I tried to hook it up to yesterday my TV said “Unsupported Signal”. I have tried every single resolution and have made sure it was at 60hz, but nothing is working. It will flash on for a second then give me the error message. Also, It works on my other computer on a variety of different settings. I feel it may have something to do with the computer monitor. It is an HP 2009 Series Wide LCD Monitor with1600×900 recommended resolution. I feel the driver that is installed with the monitor is not letting me use another output source. Anyone have any ideas? My computer used to lose connection to the internet frequently at random times. Well, one day my cousin was using the computer and he went to diagnose and repair which is found by clicking on the little computer icon in the bottom right of the screen which tells you the status of your internet connection and he clicked on the “Automatically get new IP settings” thing and it fixed it. Well, tonight my computer once again lost connection and this time when I clicked it, it didn’t work until I shut down the computer three times and on the third time I got my connection back when I clicked on the “get New IP settings” thing. What I want to know is why did it only resolve the problem on the third try after I re-started the computer 3 times and also reset my modem 3 times!? All Help Appreciated! Thanks!
